MOHALI: Amit Solanki from Wonder Automation (Automation Company) delivered an expert talk on the applications of Internet of Things (IoT). The talk was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication and Electrical Engineering of the Rayat Bahra University.
Solanki said the Internet of Things or IoT as it is more commonly referred to today, is predicted to bring about another industrial revolution. So it to make the students industry ready it was important to make them conversant with the applications of Internet of Things (IoT) and exposure to its various sub-fields and technology stacks. He also discussed how students could convert their IoT product idea into a working prototype.
The talk was organised under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Dr Daljit Singh and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Manoj Manuja. Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication and Electrical Engineering Dr Mandeep Sandhu extended a warm welcome to the expert on his arrival.
The talk was immensely beneficial to the students to help them improve their understanding about the skill set required for the new employee in embedded industry and also be able to know about the robotics future and scope, understanding the different microcontroller available in the industry and their use.
