Dalwinder Singh beats Faisal Qamar for singles title

CHANDIGARH: Second seed Dalwinder Singh won men’s singles title in the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship by beating fifth seed  Faisal Qamar in a straight set  6-2, 6-4.

Dalwinder played high quality tennis and dominate from the beginning of the game till the end of the fkist set. In the second set Dalwinder got some resistance from his opponent Faisal Qamar but Dalwinder handle the situation, Dalwinder maintained his rhythm of game throughout the match with his cool temperament, finally Dalwinder closed second set and match 6-4.

Honorary Secretary of CLTA, Dr. Jasjit Singh and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Megh Raj distributed trophies to winners and runners of the tournament.

Unseeded Jagmeet Singh and his partner Faisal Qamar won men’s doubles title. They defeated top seed Atharva Sarma and Armaan Bhatia in a close contestant match 7-5, 6-3.

Men’s doubles:  Jagmeet Singh (HR)/ Faisal Qamar (RJ) bt. Atharva Sharma (MH) / Armaan Bhatia (MH)[1] 7-5, 6-3.
