Bhupender, Jitin, Jaskirat and Simran move into semis

CHANDIGARH: Top seed Bhupender Dahiya of CLTA trainee and Jitin Kumar Chetry advanced into boys singles semifinals in the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls under-18 at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.
in the boys under-18 singles. Jitin Kumar Chetry upset 5th seed Karan Shandilya in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Jitin played in a top form with highly consistency of his aggressive ground strokes. Jitin tried to bring back every ball on the courts.
Another CLTA trainee top seed Bhupender Dahiya defeated his practice partner Gaurav Kumar 6-1, 6-2. Sixth seed Aryan Thakur and third seed Manver Singh also moved into semifinals
In the girls under-18 singles quarterfinals Jaskirat Kaur upset top seed Sukhmani Sahota in straight sets. Jaskirat won the 1st set 7-6(2). Jaskirat maintained her rhythm and attacking with her aggressive forehand, Jaskirat won the 2nd set without getting much resistance 6-0. 4th seed Simran Pritam won from Aditi Singh in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Sweta Samanta and Hitakamya Singh Narwal advanced into Semifinals.

Girls singles (q-finals): Jaskirat Kaur [7] bt. Sukhmani Sahota [1] 7-6(2), 6-0, Sweta Samanta bt. Chahana Budhbhatti [3] (Q) 6-1, 7-6(3), Simran Pritam [4] bt. Aditi Singh [5] 6-2, 6-3, Hitkamya Singh Narwal bt. Radhika Vasudeva [6] 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-3.
