Ajay Singh, Jeffery and Gaurav Kumar qualify for main draw

CHANDIGARH: CLTA  trainees fourth seed Sarabjot Singh and Gaurav Kumar  advanced into the main draw in the boys under-16 singles of the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

. Sarabjot Singh defeated 11th seed Aryan Arora 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets. Gaurav Kumar won from Shivdev Singh Walia 6-3, 6-3. Other CLTA trainees who moved into the main draw are Shraey Vir, Aditya Chauhan, Yashsvi Hooda.

In the boys under-18 singles final qualifying round Ajay Singh of CHART Trainee upset top seed Yuvraj Chodha 6-0, 6-0. Jeffery Sam Prakash and Sukhpreet Singh Jhoje upset sixth seed Lokesh Pun and 4th seed Karan Shandilya 6-3, 7-5 and 6-0, 6-2 respectively in straight sets. Another CLTA trainee Jitin Kumar Chetry also upset third seed Aryan Thakur 6-4, 7-5 in boys under-18 singles final qualifying
