Ajay Singh and Gaurav Kumar move into final qualifying rounds

CHANDIGARH: Top seed Ajay Singh and Gaurav Kumar of CLTA moved into final qualifying round In the boys under-16 singles of the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

jay Singh blanked Manjot Singh 9-0. Ajay played in a top form with his cool temperament. Gaurav Kumar over played from Dhruv Agarwal 9-3. Another CLTA trainee Sarabjot Singh upset 16thseed Kartik Parhar 9-5.

 In the boys under-18 singles qualifying  second round round Bhupender Dahiya upset 14th seed Rishi Jalota 9-3. Another big upset for Manveer Singh of CLTA trainee win from  fourth seed Rohan Mittal, Manveer played high quality tennis, Manveer used his variations of ground stroke from the baseline with aggressive forehand.  Manveer defeated Rohan Mittal 9-4.  

Shreya Chakraborty and Simran Pritam advanced into final qualifying round of girls under-18 singles qualifying. Shreya defeated Leera Raju by conceding only one game 9-1. Simran Pritam won from Ilina Jha of Delhi 9-4. Konika Singh Dhull and Sweta Samanta also moved into final qualifying round
