11 players sharing lead in HDFC Bank Open Chess

CHANDIGARH: Eleven  players are leading  with three points apiece at the end of third round in the HDFC Bank Open Chess Championship at Trellis Garden, Mohali. They won three games each on the opening day of the tournament which was inaugurated  by Mr. Mithun Sikka , CEO, Trellis Garden.
Those who are sharing the lead are Dushyant Sharma (Punjab), Prakash Ram (Punjab), Vikas Sharma (Punjab), Akshay Anand (Punjab), Jitendra Joshi (Chandigarh), Vikas Saini (Delhi), Pardeep Singh Negi (Chandigarh), Udai Singh Gill (Chandigarh), Prateek Wadhwa (Chandigarh), Arnav Kushwaha (Chandigarh), Sanjay Garg (Punjab) and Nishant Raj (Jharkhand).
The leaders  were closely followed by a pack of six players with 2.5 points. A total of 117 players from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and HP are competing for the top positions in this tournament. Out of these 43 players are Internationally Rated.

2.5 pts: Ramandeep Singh Gill (Punjab), Shaurya Kumaria (Chandigarh), Swapan Kumar (Chandigarh), Anmol Bhagat (Punjab), Anuj Bansal (Punjab) and Siddharth Bhargav (Chandigarh).
