ANANDPUR SAHIB: The historical Sikh festival of Holla Mohalla today began here at the birth place of Khalsa Panth with great enthusiasm amidst religious ceremony, marking Bhog of holy Guru Granth Sahib.

Thousands of Sikh devotees from across the world are expected to participate in the three day long Holla Mohalla festival which will culminate on March 21 with 'Mohalla Procession' by various groups of Nihangs-members of traditional army of tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh ji. Large number of Sikh devotees already arrived here and paid obeisance at the Gurdwara and Takht Kesgarh Sahib-one of the five  highest seats of Sikh religion.

The Shiromani Gurdawara Parbhandak Committee (ASGPC) has organised a religious congregation and exhibition displaying portraits of Sikh warriors. The devotees also took a dip in the holy sarovar here.

No political party is holding its conference on this occasion this year due to Lok Sabha elections.
