CHANDIGARH: The Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) general secretary and spokesperson Karnail Singh Peer Mohmmad on Friday lambasted on Cabinet minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal for making fool to Punjab people over "GST relief" which has been given under the "Sewa Bhoj Yojna" by Modi government at the religious places including SGPC on langar items, has been severely disrespected which wouldn't tolerate by the Sikh Sangat because the langar (Free Kitchen) is a Holy word which was started by our Guru Sahib.
The Badals are the puppets of the Modi government and SGPC is working on the instigation of the Badal family, who wanted to bring RSS rule in Punjab. To get just a few high chairs in Modi government the Badal family has converted the Holy word Langar into Sewa Bhoj Yojna which is a matter of great shame, " Karnail Singh Peer Mohmmad alleged in a press release.
Such sensitive and delicate issues which are related to the religious sentiments of the Sikhs the SGPC should clarify that why they required to get GST relief on langar by changing its name Sewa Bhoj Yojna whereas the amount spent on langar items by the donation of the devotees and in such situation Sikh Sangat have no need of GST relief which is being given by Modi government for hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community, " He added.
He appealed to the Sikh Sangat to protest against the Modi government for GST relief for the langar given in the name of Sewa Bhoj Yojna so that that Modi government can't hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikhs. The Badal family should also apologize to the entire Sikh Sangat for doing such shameful act, " He blamed.
