Punjab govt fails to rise to occassion to save Fatehbir, trapped in borewell

CHANDIGARH: Punjab government led by Capt Amarinder Singh has failed to rise to occassion to save the two year child Fatehbir Singh who fell into 120 feet deep biorewell in Bhagwanpura in village in Sangrur district.

Fatehbir had falled into the borewell on June 6, 2019 and trapped for the last over 72 hours without food and water. The operation launched to rescue him by local social groups started at low pace without any government assistant. Later the teams of NRDF also joined the rescue operation but no official of the state government turned to help in rescue operation and extend support to the family. Members of Dera Sacha Sauda also came forward to help the rescue operation.

Punjab cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla reached the spot only today when rescue operation is in advances stage. Local SDM and Tehsildar both women officers remained present throughout the operation but Deputy Commissioner had not shown his face all these days. The Chief Minister office has remained mum over the incident and no statment is issued by the Chief Minister.
