Patience, loyalty and intelligence are basic gradients of becoming good leader: Dr. Amar Singh tells young Congress aspirants

Political parties always hunt for good leaders and offer opportunities to rise to those who deserve it. This was stated here today by Dr.Amar Singh MP at a state level leadership development workshop ‘Yuva Drishti 2020’ organized by Indian Youth Congress. The three day workshop is being organized by Indian Youth Congress in Chandigarh.

On the second day, AICC general secretary Sachin Rao presided over the Workshop. Punjab Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Punjab Youth Congress President Birinder Singh Dhillon, Manish Tiwari MP, Jasbir Singh Dimpa MP and MLAs Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Kulbir Singh Zira were among those who addressed the youth workers.

Dr. Amar Singh, MP told the youth Congress leaders that there were no short cuts to become a good leader. He said that patience, loyalty and intelligence were three basic gradients for becoming a good leader. He said that some times it might take long to get deserving position but one must keep his goal in mind. Working hard to achieve your goal is key to your success, he lamented.

Elaborating his phenomenal rise in government and politics, the former bureaucrat said that if you have the merit, nobody asks your family background and caste. He said that there were ample examples in Congress party where people born in poor families have risen to high ranks and occupied top posts in government.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that most of Congress leaders in Punjab have risen from ranks of youth congress. He said that those who wanted to join politics must inculcate quality of sincerity towards their party.

Sachin Rao told the youth leaders to work for welfare of needy and downtrodden people to make a niche for yourself in politics.

Brinder Singh Dhillon President PYC said that there was no alternative to hard work. He said that dedication and honesty towards people pay rich dividends in politics. He advised young leaders to keep society above self.
