Notification issued to regularise services of SSA, RMSA and 5178 teachers: Soni

AMRITSAR: Punjab Education Minister O.P Soni here today informed that as per the decision taken in the recent cabinet meeting notification has been issued to regularise the services of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) ,  Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA)and 5178 teachers and their probation period reduced from 3 years to 2 years has been implemented.

He further informed that for the other demands of these teachers a high level committee has been constituted, which will submit its report within 3 months before cabinet to take further decision.

Soni told that services of non teaching employees working in education department who were not regular will also be regularised soon.

Talking about the ongoing board exams, he said cheating has been completely stopped in these exams and flying teams under the supervision education secretary, DPI and senior officials of Education Department were working round the clock to prevent unfair means in board exams.

Soni said golden era of education has begun now and we are working on it as a mission. He told that all the schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana are being made with smart classrooms. We are supplying benches costing 23 crores on the demand of primary schools.
