NDMA provides crisis Management training to officials deployed for 550th Gurpurab celebrations

KAPUTHALA:Brigadier Kuldip Singh, consultant (ME, IRS) and coordinator National Disaster Management Authority New Delhi described the best communication and coordinator amongst all departments a key step to ensure the smooth conduct of grand celebrations of 550th Parkash Purab at Sultanpur Lodhi.

Today addressing the officials deployed at Sultanpur Lodhi at Punjab Technical University auditorium about crisis Management, he said that " It was a challenge for all of us to provide a great sense of security to more than 50 lakh pilgrims coming from all around the world from any eventuality ".


Terming the police, health, transport, NDRF, Fire control as core departments to tackle any crisis and to provide all kind of remedies as early as possible, he asked the officials of these departments to made mock drills in advance about the crisis which can happen during the 10 days long events.


He also asked the officials to prepare an interdepartmental communication plan to share information in no time during the hour of crisis. Besides that, he also asked the officials of health departments to prepare a blueprint about the route , emergency services availability in all 44 hospitals, which were designated under crisis Management.

Deputy commissioner DPS Kharbanda asked the officials to visit the allotted duty places in person along with support staff so that they must be aware of the geographical dimensions, traffic routes of the main pandal, tent cities, parking sites, Gurdwara Shri Ber Sahib, etc .

Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC Rahul Chadha, SDM Dr. Charumita, OSD for 550th Parkash Purab Navneet Kaur Bal and officials of various departments.
