Heritage walk to play significant role to boost religious tourism at sultanpur lodhi - Cheema

SULTANPUR LODHI:The heritage walk at sultanpur lodhi on November 3 would play a significant role to boost the religious tourism in the sultanpur lodhi as people would be able to know the history of more than 1000 years.

MLA Sultanpur Lodhi Mr. Navtej Singh Cherma said that the Heritage walk would begin at 7.15 AM from shaheed Udham Singh chowk , in which many prominent personalities from fields like sports, culture higher officials of Punjab Government, religious and political leaders, students from educational institutions around the city would participate.

It may be mentioned here that the Heritage walk would be organized by the Information and Public Relations Department Punjab, District administration and Patiala foundation jointly to commemorate the 550th parkash purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.

More than 300 volunteers from Patiala foundation would participate in the walk , comprising philosophers, historians, academicians and others who would spread awareness about the historical importance of the city , life and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji amongst the participants, he added.

He said that the preservation of environment as the great Guru Nanak Dev ji preached , would also be the main moto of the heritage walk .

MLA urged the shopkeeper organizations, local committees and people of nearby villages to come forward for rousing welcome to the Heritage walk in the holy city besides ensuring cleaness in streets of the city
