Denial of land to Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa a black spot on entire humanity- says MLA Pargat Singh

JALANDHAR: Strongly condemning the denial of permission to cremate the mortal remains of Renowned Kirtaniye Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa on Thursday, MLA from Jalandhar Cantt  Pargat Singh today said that it was a black spot on the entire humanity.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the MLA said that this was an inhuman and unfortunate incident which had shattered every human being across the world. He said that this type of incident in Punjab, which is the land great Gurus and prophets, was totally unimaginable.  Pargat Singh said that it was against the basic philosophy of Sikhism which has shown us the way of religious tolerance, humanity and compassion.

The MLA said that this incident has bruised the psyche of every individual in general and every Sikh in particular. He said that it was unfortunate that at a time when eyes from across the globe were rolling tears on demise of the learned scholar and kirtaniye Bhai Nirmal Singh, people here in Punjab were busy in denying land for his cremation.  Pargat Singh said that this has exposed the myopic mindset of some individuals before the world.

The MLA said that Padamshri Bhai Nirmal Singh had contributed immensely in the propagation of Sikhism across the globe. He said that the services rendered by Bhai Nirmal Singh ji would be ever remembered by one and all till time immemorial. Mr Pargat Singh said that the void created with the death of this pious soul would be impossible to be filled in near future adding that the blot of denial of land would not be washed away easily.
