Anti larva wing continues drive against dengue,foounds larva at five palces

JALANDHAR:As a part of its ongoing drive against vector-borne diseases in the city under mission Tandarust Punjab, the anti-larva cell of the health department detected dengue larva at five localities of the city on Monday.

The teams of anti-larva cell led by Pawan Kumar, Amanpreet,   Jagjeet Singh,   Raj Kumar,   Pradeep Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, Sher Singh,   Gurwinder Singh,   Sukhjinder Singh and Satpal conducted the inspections in New Dashmesh Nagar, Mohalla Number-23 in Jalandhar Cantonment, Deep Nagar, Shashi Nagar, Surjeet Nagar, Faggu Mohalla and Surjeet Nagar.

During the checking, the teams visited 369 houses and checked 61 air coolers, 422 waste containers and 19 tyres.
The team members distributed the pamphlets among the people to make them aware of vulnerable places including air coolers, waste containers and etc. They said that the drive was aimed at identifying vulnerable places for producing the larva of mosquitoes.
