Haryana waives off interest on outstanding property tax in Municipalities

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister,  Kavita Jain has announced to waive off 100 per cent interest on one time settlement of outstanding property tax in municipalities from January 1, 2019 to February 28, 2019. A proposal to this effect has been approved by the Chief Minister,  Manohar Lal.

Punjab enhanced parole period of prisoners from 12 to 16 weeks in a year

CHANDIGARH: To mark the year-long celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, the Punjab Cabinet has given the nod to amend Section 3 Sub Section 2 of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 to increase the regular parole given to the prisoners with good conduct from the existing 3 weeks to 4 weeks, and total parole from 12 weeks to 16 weeks during a calendar year.
