Mandatory FASTag under electronic toll collection

PHAGWARA:Though the Government have announced FASTag mandatory from today,but traffic chaos and long queues of vehicles were witnessed at Ladhuwal Toll Plaza between Phillaur and Ludhiana on National High Ways on Sunday. Insufficient arrangements by Toll Plaza  authorities and lack of awareness among more than fifty percent vehicles owners were said to be the cause of traffic chaos and most of the vehicle owners having FASTag stickers were forced to wait for long time due to long queues and improper arrangements. Despite repeated attempts Toll Plaza Manager C.S. Rathore could not be contacted.

Drinking water crisis hits Taj city

AGRA:Three days in a row, people in the Taj city were facing an acute drinking water crisis, raising tempers all around.
The municipal water supply network crashed to a halt on Friday after the main pipeline from the Sikandra water works, leaked at the Madia Katra crossing. As round the clock repair began, officials of the Jal Sansthan suspended supply from the Jeoni Mandi Water Works to half the city. The total suspension of supply from all the three water works led to utter confusion and protests in different colonies and 'mohallas' of the city.

Assam protest toll reaches 5, partial relief in curfew

Delay on Delhi Metro's Violet Line; services resume

NEW DELHI:Services on the Delhi Metro Violet line were delayed on Monday morning and resumed after about 45 minutes.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation(DMRC) said in a tweet at 9.28 a.m. there is a delay in service from Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar on the Violet line.
