CHANDIGARH: As many as 43 teams, including 23 girls teams, from all over the country will compete in the 64th National Basketball Championship for Junior Men & Women to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack (Odisha) from September 1 to 8.
The Junior Men & Women National The Championship is being organized by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in association with Odisha Basketball Association.
Chhattisgarh men and women willdefend their titles which they had won in the last Nationals held in Pudicherry.
Competitions in the week-long event will be league cum knockout of Level 1 and 2.
Roopam Sharma said said “Basketball Federation of India is delighted to host the 64th Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls in Cuttack. The BFI is thankful to the Odisha Basketball Association for rendering their support in organizing and hosting the event. Young and dynamic players will be the path of success for basketball in the country. This event will showcase competitive games and a pool of talented players, who will comprise the next set of senior level players.”
