CHANDIGARH:Lashing out at Shiromani Akali Dal for its stance on regular intervals over CAA, cabinet minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that SAD has become the rubber stamp of BJP as it is continuously ignoring Sikh issues. He added that decision of withdrawal from Delhi Assembly Elections is also the outcome of internal consensus with BJP to unite the Hindu votes in favour of the saffron party instead of Congress. He claimed that by doing this, the BJP is trying to prove its anti-minority party which would help to polarise the votes of the majority.

The senior Congress leader said that earlier also in Haryana, SAD leaders also backstabbed Sikhs by diverting their votes to INALO to indirectly favour BJP. He added that CAA is also being opposed by the SAD is also the outcome of double standards of Badals as they wanted to save their union cabinet ministership. Channi said that SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has taken U-turn over his party’s stand on CAA as earlier in parliament, he termed it beneficial for minorities but now in view of Delhi elections, they have taken alternate route to misguide the Sikh community.

Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi stated that Taksalis have also turned down their demands of Anandpur Sahib resolution for their personal benefits only. He added that SAD would have to face the results of their misdeeds as Sikhs are now fully aware of them
