CBI files chargsheet against former head of Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalya on rape allegations

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a charge sheet against then Head of Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Vijay Vihar Phase-I, Rohini, Delhi U/s. 376(2) (f), (i), (k), (n) and 506 of IPC before the Designated Court at Delhi.

CBI had registered the case on 03.01.2018 on the orders dated 20.12.2017 of the Delhi High Court in Civil Writ No. 11382/2017 and took over the investigation of the case, earlier registered on 12.11.2017 at Police Station, Vijay Vihar, Rohini, Delhi, alleging the incident of rape and criminal intimidation on the complainant of this case.

It was alleged that the accused being head of the Ashram and a spiritual teacher committed rape on a minor against her will at two different Ashrams at Kampil (UP) and Vijay Vihar, Delhi during May/June 1999. It was also alleged that the accused threatened the victim and gave life threat to her family members.

After a thorough investigation, a charge sheet has been filed against the accused.
The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
