JALANDHAR:The anti-larva cell of the health department detected 10 dengue larva cases in various areas of the city on Saturday.
The various teams of anti-larva cell led by Amanpreet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Pradeep Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Gurwinder Singh, Raj Kumar and Sher Singh conducted the inspection in Mohan Vihar, Avtar Nagar, Panchratan Colony, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar, Green Avenue and others.
The teams visited 427 houses covered the population of 1798 and checked 86 desert coolers and 570 waste containers.
The members of teams told the residents that the desert coolers, containers could act as a breeding ground for the mosquitoes to spread diseases like dengue, malaria, and others. They said that the drive was aimed at identifying vulnerable places for producing the larva of mosquitoes.
