PHAGWARA: On a complaint lodged by Renu Devi resident of Kirpa Nagar Phagwara the police have registered a case under section 376/506 IPC against a youth identified as Shabhash Shah resident of the same locality on the charges of raping her minor daughter(10) in her house when she was away for shopping yesterday. The Victim was admitted to the local Civil Hospital for medical examination. The rapist is still at large.
Meanwhile, on a complaint lodged by Rama Devi resident of Urban Estate Phagwara, the police have registered a case under section 363/366 of IPC against an Uttar Pradesh Migrant Sahil on the charges of abducting her minor daughter (14) in the pretext of marrying her. The Police are investigating the matter. No arrest has been made till so far.
