Sukhpal Khaira withdraws his resignation from Vidhan Sabha seat

CHANDIGARH: Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira who had submitted his resignation from Vidha Sabha today sought to withdraw his resingation. He was called by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker to explain reasons of his resignation.

Khaira was elected on Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) ticket but he had resigned from Vidhan Sabha seat after he was suspended by the party for anti-party activitiES. He had formed a new political party named Punjab Ekta Party and also contested last Lok Sabha elections on his party's ticket. Khaira had parted ways from AAP alongwith five other MLAs. One of them Baldev Singh had few days back returned to AAP while two of them Amarjit Singh Sandoa (Anandpur Sahib) and Nazar Singh Mansahia (Mansa) had joined Congress party.

Khaira reported to have requested Punjab speaker Rana KP Singh that he wanted to withdraw his resignation. A final decision on his resignation would be taken by the speaker today.
