SULTANPUR LODHI: In a  disclosure,   MLA Navtej Singh Cheema and MLA Harminder Singh Gill today said that the SGPC has allotted the tender of 550th Parkash Purab celebration against Rs. 11 crore to a nondeserving company on Sukhbir Singh Badal's behalf to loot the Guru Di Golak during the celebration functions.

Addressing a press conference here at PWD rest house , both MLAs said that "It was sukhbir Singh badal who ordered the SGPC to scuttle the efforts of Punjab Government for joint celebration as SGPC floated the tender for celebration functions on September 13 by ignoring the fact that a meeting of the joint committee has been fixed on September 17 on the directions of Jathedar Shri  Akal Takhat sahib..

They alleged that the SGPC allotted to the tender to Noida based Show craft Pvt limited for Rs. 9 crores 26 lakh which has an only capital share of Rs. 5 lakh and 20 employees.

Raising the serious questions about the reasons behind the move both MLAs said that the company applied for Bid on September 23 and after two days it was allotted to the company and SGPC has also paid them the 50% amount in advance which never happened in any case.

They said that on the directions of their political masters SGPC has even ignored the many other applicants who even offered to did the celebration functions in Rs. 2 crore.

Reminding the SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal about the organisation of functions  during the 300 years of Khalsa Sajna Divas at Shri Anandpur sahib during the SAD government,   both said that at that time the main stage was arranged and conducted by the late cabinet minister captain Kawaljeet Singh where Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also present .

Besides that in  2015 during the 300 establishment year of Anandpur sahib , the main functions were organized on the stage prepared by the Punjab Government where than Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh was also present and it was conducted by the cabinet minister Dr. Daljeet Singh cheema.

He also said that the Punjab govt has paid Rs. 1 crore 86 lakh to an Amritsar based firm for that function.

Presenting full facts before the media persons, both MLAs have urged the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takhat Sahib , Amritsar to immediately order the SGPC to cancel the tender to save the money of sikh sangat.
