Punjab minister claims Rs.50403 Core investment came to Punjab since 2017

CHANDIGARH:  Punjab has attracted investment of Rs. 50403 Crores during the tenure of the incumbent government thereby creating employment for 1.7 lacs persons with 5131 small and medium units been established in district Ludhiana only with involving an investment of Rs. 557.79 Crores during 2018-19 only.

This was disclosed by State Industries Minister Sham Sunder Arora today  in a statement released here. Another 3285 new medium Small units have also been established in district Ludhiana at an investment of Rs. 231.27 crores during 2017-18 after Congress Government took over. This when in comparison of 112 industrial units were forced to shut down during the previous SAD BJP regime during the year 2016-17 in district Ludhiana alone, the Minister pointed out.

Reaffirming state Government s Committment to facilitate revival of Industry in Punjab, ARORA stated that the new Industrial Policy, 2017 notified by the govt. had been successful in providing impetus to attract the investors from both India and abroad.
