GNDU students in big demand by National and Multinational IT Companies

AMRITSAR: Multinational companies are hiring students in big numbers from Guru Nanak Dev University. As many as  248 students have been placed from July 2019 till now. Multinational brands like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Capgemini, KPMG, Infogain, Nagarro, Jaro Education, SourceFuse Technologies, Xenon Stack and many others have recruited students from the University. These students will join their jobs in July 2020 after passing out their respective courses in June 2020.

Capgemini recruited 119, TCS recruited 53, Infogain recruited 27, KPMG recruited 21, Xenon Stack recruited 8 and Jaro Education recruited 2 students at attractive salary packages. The highest salary package was Rs. 12 Lakhs per annum offered by Jaro Education. TCS also offered Rs. 7 Lakhs per annum to 9 students.

   Students of B.Tech. CSE, B.Tech. ECE, MCA, M.Tech. CSE and M.Tech. ECE from the main campus Amritsar as well as the regional campuses and constituent colleges of Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Sathiala, Sultanpur Lodhi and Mukandpur participated in these campus placement drives.

 The demand for the GNDU students by the corporate world itself speaks of the quality infrastructure and facilities available at University. Moreover, the education imparted by the faculty at the University is aiming at holistic development of students by imbuing the right qualities of head and heart.

 Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Dean Academic Affairs, Prof.  Dr. S.S. Behl congratulated the students for this great success. Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer said that many more companies have confirmed their visit in the near future to recruit the students of the University.
