Fathegarh sahib police nabbed nigerian citizen from delhi for smuggling & supplying drugs:Amneet Kondal

FATEHGARH SAHIB: With an objective to curb drug menace in the state, the campaign initiated by Punjab Govt. got a big success today when Fatehgarh Sahib Police nabbed the Nigerian drug smuggler & supplier for supplying drugs from Delhi to other states. He has been arrested with 200 gram heroin.  

Disclosing this SSP Smt. Amneet Kondal during the press conference said that earlier a team under the supervision of SP (Investigation) S. Harpal Singh & DSP (Major Crime) Jaswinder Singh Tiwana was formed under Inspector Hemant Kumar incharge of Anti Narcotic Cell Fatehgarh Sahib who along with CIA Team Sirhind had recovered 01 Kg Heroin from Jaswinder Singh alias Toni of Gobindgarh during a special checking. During the interrogation Jaswinder Singh disclosed that he had received 01 Kg heroin from Nigerian citizen Splair Sunde alias Emeka Ekechi residing at Vipan garden near Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, who also supplies heroin & cocaine to other states. Based on this information the process for nabbing the drug smuggler was initiated and he was nabbed from Delhi with 200 gram heroin. He is on police remand till August 21.

SSP said that earlier also a case under NDPS Act was registered at Samrala police station and 2 Kg heroin & 40 gram cocaine was recovered from him. During this SP (HQ) Sh. Navneet Bains, DSP Amloh Hans Raj along with other police officers and officials were present.

During the press conference SSP Amneet Kondal on the behalf of DGP, Punjab,   rewarded SI Gurdeep Kaur In-Charge Women cell with cash prize of 05 thousand for her sincerity and sense of responsibility towards her job. She will be also rewarded by Commendation Certificate Class-1.
