BJP govt at center saffronising education policy, JAC resolves to meet Punjab CM

CHANDIFGARH: JAC organizes Education Conclave on Draft National Education PolicyCHANDIGARH: “Draft National Education Policy (NEP) is a big threat to “Punjab”, “Punjabi” and “Punjabiyat”. Minister said that Centre Govt. is doing saffronisation of education in the Country. The new education draft policy has been released in every language by the Centre Govt. but not in Punjabi Language thereby neglecting the interest of Punjabi’s.” JAC Directors should meet Chief Minister Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh so that the matter can be taken further to Centre Govt.

This was said by Higher Education Minister, S. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwaduring an Education Conclave-2019 organized by Joint Action Committee (JAC) representing over 1650 unaided institutes of Punjab under the leadership of Chairman, JAC, Sh. Ashwani Sekhri today at Hotel JW Marriott, Chandigarh. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Spokesman, JAC; Sh. Jagjit Singh, President, B.Ed Federation & S Rajinder Dhanoa, Polytechnic Association were the moderators of the function.

School Education Minister, Sh. Vijay Inder Singla said that their department has already adopted the positive steps from the NEP for the upliftment of school education.

S. Balbir Singh Sidhu; VC, MRS-PTU, Bathinda, Dr. MPS Isher; VC, Baba Farid University, Faridkot, (Dr.) Raj Bahadur; Secretary Education, Sh. Krishan Kumar, IAS etc were also present on the occasion.

Dr Kuldip Puri, Professor Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Dr. Kulwinder Singh, Professor Education, Punjabi University, Patiala; Dr. Kamaljeet Singh, HoD, Education, Punjabi University Regional Centre, Bathinda; Dr. Khushwinder Kumar, Principal, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala etc were the panelists.
