UTCA team calls on Governor VP Singh Badnore

CHANDIGARH: The UT Cricket Association (UTCA) team led by Sanjay Tandon visited  Governor Punjab  and Administrator UT Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore, on Tuesday afternoon, to extend their thanks for his efforts in getting the BCCI affiliation for Chandigarh

UTCA president . Tandon was accompanied by Vivek Atray and H S Khurana UTCA senior vice president, UTCA general secretary Subhash Mahajan and Alok Krishan Joint Secretary UTCA. During the visit, the Governor was briefed on plans for cricket activities in the city.  A request to hand over Sector 16 Chandigarh Cricket Stadium to UTCA was submitted.

Speaking on the meeting Sanjay Tandon said, “The affiliation could not have become a reality without Hon'ble Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore’s support and backing. UTCA is indebted to him for his belief and trust imposed upon us.

We would tirelessly work to make Chandigarh an outstanding unit in terms of infra-structure along with grooming and producing talent.”   

Later in the evening, the Executive Committee meeting was held at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, the members appreciated and lauded the efforts of Sanjay Tandon, who led from the front to get the BCCI affiliation for the city. The meeting was chaired by Sanjay Tandon. “We will make sure through collective efforts that Chandigarh's cricket goes from strength to strength in years to come. A lot has to be done in this direction,” added Sanjay Tandon. It was resolved that no corruption will be tolerated in the affairs of the association and complete transparency shall be maintained in all matters.
