NEW DELHI:Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra recently took to Twitter to share his experience at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.
For my album of prized memories. At the feet of the real Iron Man "not the Marvel character!", tweeted the business tycoon to his 7.4 million followers.

The picture posted with the tweet shows him standing in front of the Statue of Unity -- a 182-metre tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat.

In a series of posts, he revealed that he was on his way to address the 6th India Ideas Conclave, when he stopped by at the Statue of Unity and wrote, "On my way to Narmada, Gujarat to address the A@IndiaIdeas_IF. Hope to stop by the Statue Of Unity (@souindia) Impressed by the 4-lane highway that takes you there...."

As the post went viral, Twitterati have flooded the social media with their reactions.

A user wrote, "Sir, you have contributed immensely to Indian economic growth, the caption should be 'a nation builder at the feet of real Iron Man'."

Another wrote, "Statue is as insignificant as the Marvel Ironman. Love the man for who he is not because of the size of the statue. Namaste Sardar Patel."

A post read, "Two bold iron men at one point perspective really great to see sir."

"You himself an Iron Man for India. Anyone who is doing great for our country is an Iron Man" a user remarked.

The Statue of Unity, designed by Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres. It is located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river in Kevadiya town in Gujarat.
