Sarva Dharam Prayer held on 98th birth anniversary of late Chief Minister Beant Singh

CHANDIGARH: Sarva Dharam Prayer on the 98th birth anniversary of former Punjab Chief Minister Late Sh. Beant Singh was held at ‘The Beant Singh Memorial, Sector 42 here. While remembering their beloved leader eminent personalities from all walks of life paid floral tributes at his memorial.

On the occasion, Member Parliament Ludhiana Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu and MLA Mr. Gurkirat Singh Kotli, both grandsons reaffirmed their commitment to fight against terrorism & drugs and preserve the unity and integrity of the country. Distinguished personalities recalled the sincere efforts of erstwhile chief minister Mr. Beant Singh for restoring peace in the state by putting to an end the militancy.

Political and social leaders said in unison that the late chief minister handled the Punjab during the turbulent period in fearless manner, even he sacrificed his life for the people, and his services as Chief Minister would be always remembered as a dedicated leader. His efforts indeed maintained communal harmony and unity amongst the people and state of Punjab again stride on the path of prosperity.

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Mr. Surinder Dawar, Mr. Lakhvir Singh, Mr. Gurpreet Singh GP, Mr. Sanjay Talwar and Angad Saini (all MLAs), Mr. Tejparkash Singh, ex MLA Mr. Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, Chief Minister's OSD Captian Sandeep Sandhu, Mayor Mr. Balkar Sandhu, Mr. Malkeet Singh Dakha, Youth Congress President Mr. Barinder Singh Dhillon and family members of late Sh. Beant Singh paid their tributes.
