Two drug smugglers with 1,5 Kg heroin arrested by Phagwara Police

PHAGWARA: The Sultanpur Lodhi Police headed by SP(D) Manpreet Dhillon and DSP Sultanpur Lodhi Sarwan Singh Bal on Saturday Evening succeeded to nab two Drugs Smugglers and recovered 1.5 kg of heroin worth Rs 7.5 Crores and drugs money of Rs 2 Lac 9900/- from their possession.

Senior Superintendent of the Police Kapurthala Satinder Singh while confirming it told this correspondent here on Sunday that the arrested drugs smugglers were identified as Davinder Singh@ Bara resident of Village Lattiawala PS Sultanpur Lodhi and Balwinder Singh resident of Village Toti in district kapurthala. The Police have also impounded their bike no PB-9AG-6657.

SSP said three of their other accomplices managed to flee in their Breeza Car no PB-41B-2326. They were identified as Mangal Singh, Harwinder Singh(Both residents of Village Lattiawala) and Kuldip Singh of Village Toti, said SSP.

SSP Satinder Singh and SP Manpreet Dhillon said the arrested accused were nabbed at a check point near Village Secha, when they both were coming on a bike. They said the other three were coming in breeza car. SSP said that both arrested accused fell down from the bike which suddenly slipped and the cops nabbed them, but three others managed to flee. Several other disclosures are expected from the arrested accused during their further interrogation.
