PHAGWARA: On a complaint lodged by Village Thalla near Phillaur Resident Woman Ranjana Devi, the Satnampura Phagwara Police have registered a case under section 315/316/34IPC on Tuesday Night against her husband Vijay Kumar and his mother Bimla Rani on the charges of torturing the complainant's pregnant daughter.
The Victim daughter of Bhaghan Lal of Phillaur was beaten up mercilessly by the accused after domestic brawl at her-in-laws house at Village Darveshpind in Phagwara Sub Division on May 18.
Satnampura SHO Usha Rani said the victim Ranjana who was married in the month of February last year, was being held responsible for the losses in the travel agent business of her husband. SHO said that the victim told in her statement lodged before the police that She sustained serious injuries. She was first admitted in Phillaur Hospital by her parents but later referred to Phagwara Civil Hospital due to excessive bleeding.
SHO said ultimately She had to face miss carriage after a six months pregnancy of a son on Monday night in Civil Hospital Phagwara. No arrest has been made till so for, said SHO
