Ludhiana court denies bail to Hawara in blast case

LUDHIANA: The court of Additional Sessions Judge today tirned down the bail application of Jagtar Singh Hawara a convict in Beant Singh assassination case and radical sponsored jathedar of Akal Takht. He is facing trial in a blast case held in Devember 5, 1995 near clock tower Ludhiana.

A case under sections 307 and 427 of IPC was registered in Kotwali Police station. Paramjit Singh Bheora was co-accused in the case.He was declared proclaimed offender by court. Hawara was produced in court through video conferencing. Bheora who is now lodged in Burail jail in Chandigarh has also requested the court to join him in the trial of the case. Bheora was arrested from Thailand where he was hiding after absconding from jail.
