GNDU Placement Department organized seminar on 'IBM Hack Challenge”

AMRITSAR: Dr. Mani Madhukar, Program Manager - University Relations, IBM India Pvt. Ltd. conducted seminar on ‘IBM Hack Challenge” at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Students of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electronics Technology departments of main campus and regional campuses participated in the seminar. The seminar was conducted by the Placement Department of the university.

He told the students that IBM Hack Challenge is an opportunity to work on industry relevant problem statements. The teams that make a valid submission will receive the participation certificate and Pre-Placement job offers. Technical mentorship will be available on Slack channel by IBM experts. He put emphasize on importance of coding and asked the students to become a good coder by continuously working on different types of coding contests, internships and projects.

Dr. Amit Chopra, Astt. Placement Officer welcomed the guests on this occasion. Dr. Hardeep Singh, Dean Students Welfare and Head, Department of Computer Science and Dr. R.S. Sawhney, Head Department of Electronics interacted with the IBM official. Dr. Mani Madhukar also had an interaction with Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor. He discussed the various opportunities available with IBM for GNDU students. The visit of senior leadership of multinational companies to the campus speaks of the quality of GNDU students and high demand in corporate world especially in IT sector. GNDU is a favourite destination for multinational companies looking out for students good in coding.
