Fourth governing body meeting discussing reforms & success under autonomous system accomplished at kmv

JALANDHAR:Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & The autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No.1 College  in India by India Today Ranking (in various categories) which has become the first women college in Punjab to be bestowed with the Autonomous status organized the  fourth Governing Body meeting to ensure excellence in education. The meeting was chaired by  Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and was graced by acclaimed luminaries such as Prof. Dr. S.S. Chahal, Former Vice Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Shri Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KVM Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KVM  Managing Committee, Dhruv Mittal, Joint Treasurer, KVM Managing Committee, Suresh Seth, Member, KVM Managing Committee. During the meeting, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her gratitude to the esteemed guests for their valuable presence and contribution. She also apprised about the successful completion of one year of autonomy.
She further maintained that two semesters have been completed successfully and examinations for 52 programs are held successively without any grievances from the students. She also informed the house that the value-added courses are a great success with students and are contributing hugely to their job placements. She also discussed the main events held during the session like two Convocations, DST INSPIRE Internship Programme, WISCOMP Workshop, Industry-Academia Meet. She also apprised about the various infrastructure facilities added to the institution to meet the requirements of new courses. She also informed the members that the students from Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary will be visiting KVM under the student exchange program and students from KVM will be visiting Boston University, USA. Dr. Gopi Sharma, Autonomy Coordinator also gave a presentation of progress of the college under autonomy. Worthy members passed the proceedings of Academic Council which gave greater flexibility of academic system to benefit the students. Dr. Chahal appreciated the progress of the college under the autonomous system and lauded the tireless efforts of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi and the whole team of the college. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that this meeting will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education and research in KVM. The house appreciated all the reforms carried out under the autonomous system.
